What We Treat

Depression

Depression is an experience of prolonged sadness and hopelessness. It can be difficult to identify within ourselves as symptoms seem to gradually build and take over our lives.

Anxiety

When anxiety is excessive, we may become easily overwhelmed, fearful, worried or have thoughts that are intrusive and repetitive.

Trauma / PTSD

Trauma is any event that causes someone to think “the world is no longer a safe place.” Those who suffer from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (or PTSD) are affected with symptoms on a daily basis long after the event has subsided.

Loss / Grief

Have you recently experienced a loss and feel emotionally overwhelmed and out of control?

LGBTQ+

Even though we live in a society that is growing in acceptance and understanding of sexual orientation and gender identity issues, the LGBTQ+ community continues to face hardships that lead to depression, anxiety, and emotional suffering.

Substance Abuse & Addiction

Individuals who find themselves experiencing an addiction to drugs or alcohol often find the services of a mental health professional to be helpful in overcoming the addiction.

Personal Growth & Development

Life is a continual journey of growth and change. The journey towards maturation continues throughout adulthood and the experiences we have along the way shape our experiences and relationships with others.

Difficult Transitions

Change is inevitable and a natural part of life. Even though expected, we often have a difficult time adjusting to it and can even experience sadness and loss in the process.

Adolescent & Teen Therapy

The journey from childhood to adulthood has its ups and downs as teens navigate the many changes in cognitive, emotional, and social growth.

Therapy allows us the opportunity to move through life with insight and understanding of ourselves in our relation to others and our life experiences. We are able to explore the journey of life in a deeper way by becoming aware of thoughts, feelings, and beliefs that occur on an unconscious level, but profoundly motivate our behavior and sabotage efforts for happiness. By doing so, we are able to integrate the various parts of ourselves allowing us to live a more authentic and genuine life. Through self-awareness, we are able to identify the right path to take that will resolve our conflicts and enable us to feel more alive and at peace.
